Assumption SVdP Helps Community In Need

The Assumption SVdP Conference is grateful for your unwavering support again this year and the help and support you provide to those neighbors in need in our parish area.

During the second quarter of our fiscal year, we received 222 requests. Your generosity allowed us to assist 198 families with a variety of needs, including housing, utilities, auto repair, food, and gasoline. We have also met referrals made for needs typically not covered by the team, as well as supporting those who are homeless.

Now, we are preparing to stock up for the summer months, a critical time when children are not receiving school meals. The pantry is running low on food items. Please help! Before donating, please check the expiration dates on the following:

FOOD ITEMS:
applesauce (large and multipacks)
canned pears
canned SPAM and other meats (Vienna Sausages, stew, etc.)
baked beans
taco seasoning packets
canned pasta with pull tab lids
Sloppy Joe's
canned white potatoes
tomato soup
canned fruit cocktail
granola bars
jelly
brownie mix
cake mix
Hormel Compleats meals
microwave Mac-N-Cheese
Chicken Helper

Thank you again for your generous support. Please drop the requested food items in the wooden cart located in the Church Narthex. We also welcome Aldi and Walmart gift cards to allow our neighbors to purchase fresh milk, eggs, and produce. The gift cards can be placed in the Church collection basket or in the metal donation box near the elevator alcove. And for your convenience, you can still make a donation through our online Amazon Shopping List. Items are delivered right to our pantry.

Blessings to you and your families,
Your Assumption SVdP Team
