Assumption is hosting its annual Quilts of Valor—Eastern Missouri event, Tuesday, June 24, and we need your assistance! Quilters from 10 surrounding counties, including St. Charles, Lincoln, Warren, Pike, St. Louis, Jefferson, Gasconade, Montgomery, Franklin and Callaway, are invited to join us as we honor Missouri veterans from 8am-3pm in the Parish Center.
Hosted by the Assumption Quilters and the O’Fallon Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary #2269, participants attending this special hand-quilting event will be stitching together several full-sized quilts throughout the day, stopping for lunch and a short ceremony to honor six veterans with their own special hand-made quilt.
Interested quilters should contact Mary Jo Edson, President of Quilts of Valor—Eastern Missouri, at mjdedson@sbcglobal.net. If you miss the Assumption event, please consider joining us for additional quilting through October at the following events:
- Tuesday, June 3 | St. Ignatius, Concord Hill
