Cub Scouting

Assumption School Cub Scout Mission

Cub Scouts teaches boys in 1st through 5th grade about themselves, others, their environment, and the world outside their community.  We do this through fun activities and hands on experiences in safe settings.  Our leaders, who are parents of the boys, are trained and supported by the Boy Scouts of America organization.

We meet as a pack (all the grades) every 3rd Tuesday of the month when school is in session.  The individual dens (Tigers 1st graders, Wolves 2nd graders, Bears 3rd graders, 1st & 2nd year Webelos 4th & 5th graders) meet once or twice a month.  The den meetings are setup by the individual den leaders.

Our activities through the school year include the Scouting for Food Program, Pine Wood Derby, Blue & Gold Banquet, Day Camp, and Camping with the Rascals at the ball park.

If you are interested in our organization and want more information about us as a whole, please visit our website at http://www.pack397.741.com/ or call Jeff Cox at 636-357-3802.

If you want information regarding the particular den your son would be with, please feel free to call the individual den leaders.

Girl Scouts

Assumption School Girls Scout Mission

Our program goals serve as the foundation to girl scouting.
They are listed as follows:

Girls will develop to their full potential and encourage girls' personal growth.

Girl will relate to others with increasing understanding, skill and respect.  We will promote an understanding and appreciation of individual, cultural, religious, and racial differences.

Girls will develop a meaningful set of values to guide their actions and to provide the foundation for sound decision-making.  They will be taught to empower girls to act upon their values.

Girls will contribute to the improvement of society through the use of their abilities and leadership skills, working in cooperation with others.  We will help girls develop concern for the well being of their communities.

The goals listed above are why we enjoy girl scouting so much. Our personal goal is to see that each girl has a wonderful girl scout experience.  If you are interested in your child becoming a girl scout , please contact Tammy Arado at 978-0703

We meet one Friday a month at Assumption parish hall from 3:30 to 5:00pm. Our meetings run from September to May. Girls will also have a few outings throughout the year.
