The Pillar of Hospitality - The Holy Family
Jesus, Mary and Joseph are the model of what family life is called to be. A family is a group consisting of parents and children living in a household, who have a common ancestor. Joseph, as husband and father provided and protected his family, teaching Jesus the ways of life. Mary as wife and mother, nurtured and helped shape who her Son was to become. Jesus, an obedient son, responded to the love his parents gave him and grew in wisdom and strength. We, at Assumption, are a family living in the household we call the Church. Our common ancestor is God as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Each of us has a role to play in building up this “Holy Family.” May we be inspired through the intercession of Jesus, Mary and Joseph to make our Assumption Family more vibrant and faith-filled through participation in the following organizations and ministries: Fr. Mitch’s Weekly Reflection, Parish Events (Fall Festival, Crusader Run, etc.), Youth Ministry, Calendar, Sacraments, School/PSR, Server Schedule, Small Church Community.
We strive to extend a warm, hospitable and loving welcome to all who join us in worship, service, study, social, or in times of personal need. We assist our parish community in presenting a visible sign of Christ’s loving kindness in all we do.
