Protecting God's Children at Assumption Parish
A Parish as large as Assumption needs hundreds of volunteers, and everyone in our Parish family appreciates the time and efforts it takes to meet our needs. We would love to have you as a volunteer and believe you will find it fulfilling. At Assumption, we need to help to protect our children in every way we can. To do this, volunteers 18 years of age and older coming in contact with children first must meet a few requirements established by the Archdioceses:
FILL OUT A VOLUNTEER VOLUNTER PACKET. A packet can be picked up at the Parish office between the hours of 8:00-4:00 p.m. Monday-Friday.
If you are volunteering with Parish children and you are not compliant or have not completed the above criteria we cannot allow you to actively volunteer where school or parish children are involved.
If you have any question about the Protecting God's Children Program please contact Gretchen Elder, Child Safety Coordinator, at 636-240-8783.NOTE: In January of 2009, the Archdiocese implemented fingerprinting for all individuals living out side of MO and IL. The fingerprinting will be done at the protecting God's Children workshop for your convenience. This is a new process so please bear with us as we are learning. It takes about 10 minutes per person. There are approximately 5 individuals per workshop needing theri fingerprints taken. If you have lived out of MO or IL in the past 5 years, please plan on arriving to the workshop 30 minutes early or staying 30 minutes after. Thank you for your cooperation!
